This installment of Captain Eyeliner features stories about highly suggestive voices, television as a voice that encourages a young boy to assemble explosives, disembodied voices on phone lines enticing young minds, and a band covering the iconic indie rock band Guided By Voices.
This new series surveys the idea of retirement featuring musicians telling stories about a huge shift in their lives that influenced a song of theirs. For the inaugural episode check out stories and songs from Toronto-based musicians, Afie Jurvanen and his band Bahamas, Josh Reichmann, and Rich Terfry aka Buck 65.
Retirement Songs will be an ongoing series on Captain Eyeliner so if you have a story and a song that fits, send us a note.
